Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities have always been at the heart of the Kulay Kalingka Study. We were honoured to launch the Kulay Kalingka Study on Wiradjuri Country in Condobolin, in the beautiful Wiradjuri Condobolin Corporation (WCC), in July 2023.
On the day we heard from our deadly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team – including our project lead Shavaun Wells, Professor Tom Calma AO, Associate Professor Lisa Whop, and WCC Manager Ally Coe. We had over 100 community members attend the Launch, and collected the first 50 Kulay Kalingka surveys.
The family-friendly event had activities for kids, including an obstacle course, face painting, and a sensory corner. Lunch time activities for the adults included a boomerang show by Uncle Dick, weaving with Aunty Bev Coe, local stalls, and of course, Kulay Kalingka survey collection.

We also had the WolfLab production team with us during the Kulay Kalingka Launch. You can watch the Kulay Kalingka Launch video below.
